United Way Opens 2025 Grant Cycle

CBA Vision Rehabilitation Services’ Youth Vision Screening — a 2024 UWCAC-funded program — helps children receive screenings and referrals for eye exams, improving learning experiences.

The United Way of Cattaraugus & Allegany Counties (UWCAC) has opened its annual grant application process, which will run from March 7, 2025, to April 4, 2025.

501(c)3 nonprofit agencies providing human service programs in Cattaraugus and Allegany counties are eligible to apply.

Grant focus areas include:

  • Healthy Community: Creating opportunities for healthy, secure, independent, and meaningful lives.

  • Youth Opportunity: Providing tools and structures necessary for success.

  • Financial Security: Offering structural opportunities for economic self-sufficiency.

  • Community Resiliency: Delivering life-saving services, emergency assistance, and disaster aid.

In 2024, UWCAC invested more than $240,000 in 34 community agencies.

“Thanks to the generosity of our donors, our United Way continues to support programs in our communities to help our friends and neighbors thrive,” Susan McAuley, executive director, said.

UWCAC seeks to maximize community impact with its grant awards by investing in programs that deliver measurable results with sound fiscal and management practices to address the root causes of community challenges.
